Clayburn Reclaimed Beam Bench

This sturdy bench is made from the main support beam from a 120 year old building that once stood about an hour South of Ottawa in Mallorytown. This historic beam was hand hewn (you can still see the marks left from the axe!) from a single solid log and spent most of its days holding up the rafters and roof of a carriage house. It's new life can be holding up loved ones in your home! 

We built the legs from a section of the same beam, attached them with large mortise and tenon joinery and added matte black steel feet as a fitting design feature.
